What is Treatable with Laser Therapy?

Both dogs and cats can suffer from allergies-whether they be food allergies, environmental (also called Atopic Dermatitis), or flea allergies. Symptoms you should pay attention to are and bring you pet in for are:

  • Skin injuries
  • Injuries to the tendons, muscles, or ligaments
  • Lick granulomas
  • Injuries to the nervous system
  • Trigger points
  • Arthritis
  • Intervertebral and cervical disc disease
  • Post-operative incisions
  • ...and more!

How does laser therapy work?

Laser therapy works well with other forms of treatment, such as medication and physical therapy, to relieve pain and increase healing.

This involves emitting controlled pulses of infrared light through a laser device. This light penetrates the skin and muscle tissue, triggering cellular changes that facilitate cell regeneration and repair.

When will I see results?

Acute conditions are easier to treat. If your pet just had surgery or has a small laceration that needs extra help healing, one treatment of laser therapy may be enough. However, pets with chronic health problems will need to come in for multiple treatments, since their conditions have had more time to develop. Therefore, it will take longer to see results.
